With the anticipation of Marvel’s upcoming release of Spider-man: Homecoming, Sony Pictures Entertainment held a press junket at the Whitby Hotel in New York City with the cast. Since I was away, my nephew Evan covered the event for me. This was the perfect one since he is a huge Marvel & RJD fan. He got to preview the movie the night before the junket. His review will be in a separate post but trust that this should be on your to see list this weekend!
The room was full of media gearing up for the cast entrance. The event was broadcast live on the Spider-Man Facebook page which you can check out here.
Once the cast sat down, you could immediately see the camaraderie. Robert Downey Jr. is as witty as he is as Iron Man as in real life. The laughs across the room bellowed with each response from the actors. As Tom Holland takes over the realm, he reminds himself of how he admired Tobey McGuire & looked up to him. He has played this character with the same reverie knowing that there will be many kids that will look up to him as well & he wants to be a solid role model.
Synopsis: A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May, under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark. Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7th. Get ready! This is will be a must see!
