I am a huge fan of reality tv. I can’t help it! It’s my addiction. So when I was invited to attend a screening event of the 32nd season of Survivor with host Jeff Probst, I jumped at the opportunity. I haven’t watched the show in a few years but the idea of “surviving” on an island with strangers and limited supplies intrigues me because I know I couldn’t do it after a day. LOL
Andre attended the event with me. He had never seen the show so I was eager to see what he would think about it. The event was held at the 1010 WINS studio. We were treated with some fruit & cupcakes. The kids were given the Survivor head wear so they can be a part of the show. Andre thought it was the coolest thing. He does look cute, right? #futurecastmember #survivor
We watched the season premiere and were instantly hooked! Of course they didn’t show us who was voted off the island which was such a tease! After the episode, Emmy Award winning host & Executive Producer Jeff Probst, Survivor Micronesia winner Parvati Shallow and Fan Favorite Stephen Fishbach were all in attendance for a live streamed Q&A.
Jeff spoke of how the show is great for families to watch together. He spoke of how bullying will be seen this season which is such an important topic for kids these days. Several audience members had questions including the kids. It was great to hear their responses and stories of their favorite moments in the show to which season is Jeff’s favorite. You can watch the live stream below.
The 32nd season of Survivor is filmed on the island of Kaoh Rong in Cambodia. The group of 18 castaways are split up in teams of Brains, Brawn & Beauty. Though some I feel may be in the wrong groups, they each seem to possess similar qualities. It definitely will be interesting to watch how the next 39 days transpire on television.
Once the live stream was over, they all stayed to continue answer questions & take photos. It was so gracious of them to do that. Jeff is hilarious and such a joker as you can see from his crazy antics in these photos. I can only imagine how he was growing up! LOL
