I was thinking of writing this post all week because I have so much to be thankful for. I just didn’t know how I would get through it. It was such a difficult past 3 months that I thought my family wouldn’t get to here happily. But we are and for that I’m blessed.
First and foremost I am always thankful for these 2 “boyz” in my life. They are why I wake up everyday thankful to have another day with them. They are my life line. I am eternally grateful to God to have them by my side. They were there for me through my most emotional times these past few months. I didn’t think I would make it but I did and for that I am thankful.
Secondly I am thankful to have an amazing support system of friends. Though I don’t get to see them often enough, I know these are my girls. They are the ones that I can text (because who calls anymore) for a laugh or to vent. It’s important to have a life outside of your family and that’s where your friends come to play. For that I am thankful.
Thirdly I am thankful for blogging. It has given me opportunities for my family that I may not have had. I was fortunate to have gone to the Disney Social Media Moms conference this year. I am able to take Andre to so many events, review products and meet such amazing people. I’m able to have a voice that people from across the globe can hear. It’s an inner circle that I’m proud to be a member of for as long as I can. For that I’m thankful.
Fourthly I am thankful that I have my family. Though it’s small with just my sister, brothers, nieces and nephews I wouldn’t want it any other way. We laugh, cry, and argue like everyone else but we love strongly. We are there for each other like no other. We are the WEI’s. For that I am thankful.
Lastly I am extremely thankful to have my mom. These past few months have been hell watching her go from being healthy to laying in a bed intubated. The not knowing if she would survive it all was the killer. But she pulled through as the strong woman I know she always is. She’s our rock, our miracle. This holiday season will be all about having her home. For that I am eternally thankful.
I wish you and your family a happy and healthy Thanksgiving Day! May you eat till you drop & spend the day with the ones you love.
