Family Forward At Loews Royal Pacific Resort Part 1

Labor Day weekend, Andre along with my mom, nephew Julian & I attended the Family Forward Conference at Universal Studios. I have been reading, well more like stalking people’s posts about this conference for the past few years now. I contemplated about it so many times that this year I said F it. The boyz are the perfect age (10yrs) to experience Universal Studios and it was a great excuse to get away for the last official summer weekend.

Family Forward is 4 nights of family fun at Universal Studios. It is not by invitation only, but open to any one that is a social media influencer. It is a discounted rate for the weekend. That alone was an incentive for me to attend. Every moment is spent with your family in mind. Creating Super Hero families is their tag line & they did just that. It was one of the best times I had with my family this year.

I will admit the forecasts that weekend were all about this damn chick Hermine. Oh you know just a freakin’ hurricane that was predicted to ruin our weekend with potential rain falls. I was nervous about our flight but we had an early 6am out of Laguardia and we were able to have a smooth sailing straight to Orlando.

This was our first time at Universal Studios theme park as well as staying in one of their hotels. When we drove up to the Loews Royal Pacific, I did not think I was in Orlando, Florida. The tropical decor of the hotel was beautiful. It definitely is one of the most impressive hotels that we have ever stayed in.

There is complimentary transportation from the hotel to the Universal Theme parks or City Walk via water taxis. If you can withstand the Florida heat you can even walk it or catch a ride on a rickshaw!

We stayed in a standard room with 2 double beds. It fit the 4 of us perfectly. I especially loved the warm colors. We were in the main tower on the 4th floor. We didn’t have a spectacular view but of trees. Nonetheless, we slept well every night.

There is a lagoon style pool which fits with the South Pacific theme of the hotel. The children water play area provides continuous water fun out the pool. There were even some friendly ducks that took a dip in the pool.

There are several hotels located on the Universal Studios property. I am thrilled that my first experience was at the Loews Royal Pacific and I’m sure the others will meet the high standards that we have. Definitely expect us back again!

Disclosure: I attended Family Forward. No compensation was received. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
