It’s almost time for those dreadful words BACK TO SCHOOL. Andre has less than a month before he heads into the 5th grade. I feel like as soon as we finished we were already prepping to start again. It’s an insane cycle! But I am happy that I got to kick off back to school with the lovely Nicole Feliciano from MomTrends. It was her annual event! Fabulous brands were in attendance to show you how to get ready for the new school year.
If you have ever walked down a Target aisle you’re sure to have seen Yoobi. They are bright colorful and fun school products that every kid needs. Pharrell Williams has partnered with them to create an I am Other collection that I am super excited about. It’s about instilling individuality in kids. It’s so important to be sure that our kids know that its our uniqueness that makes us all special. For every I am Other item purchased, a Yoobi item will be donated to a classroom in need in the U.S. Too many kids are not fortunate to have the proper tools needed to succeed in school. We have to get together to do something and this brand is doing it. For more information head to www.yoobi.com
I pack Andre’s lunch everyday. Now that’s he’s in middle school, I don’t think the character bags will do. So I was happy to learn about Nalgene’s Lunch Box Buddy and water bottles. The OTF (on the fly) bottles are leak proof and easy to open with one hand. This will ensure homework won’t get wet! The lunch box buddy are colorful and roomy. I won’t have to hear that his sandwich was smushed. It comes with a freezer pack to ensure the food stays cool. Both products can be purchased on http://store.nalgene.com/
I wish I had chew beads when Andre was born. I totally would have been rocking these fun jewelry. If you haven’t heard of them check them out for yourself or gift them to any pregnant mama. These are 100% silicone jewelry that is safe for baby to chew and tug. Now they have created a Junior Beads line for the older kids because hey these are pretty cool to rock. We don’t want to leave them out too.
Oh how I wish Andre didn’t have a big foot! I fell in love with this line of kids footwear. I am all about comfort especially on kids teeny feet. These are super comfortable and durable, which as you know every kid needs that! They come in fun designs and styles. Every kid will sure to be a fashion hit at school on the first day.
We were treated with organic snacks by Ella’s Kitchen. They are great for on the go. Small packaging & tasty snacks. Perfect for those little hands when they need something healthy!
I stay away from frozen foods in our house. It’s just something we try not to buy. But when I tasted Earth’s Best stuffed bites, I was hooked. I couldn’t even tell that these were frozen. I just couldn’t stop popping them in my mouth. The kids in attendance devoured the snacks which a sign that they loved them as much as the adults.
One of my favorite brands was in attendance, Mabel’s Labels. These have been a life savior over the years. I literally stick a label on anything and everything Andre owns. I loved the my school years book which is a perfect place to store all those school keepsakes from preschool to 12th grade. I highly suggest you get a pack to ensure all your kids items are returned this school year.
These fun removable decals are sure to any room an uplift. They have these fun new designs as well as dry erase boards. I was lucky to get a map of the U.S. which will fit perfectly in Andre’s room as well as teach him geography.
I was also lucky to get my hair braided at the event. I got a “mohawk braid” which was so stylish & perfect for the warm evening. Of course it didn’t last for the next day but at least I looked cute!
Disclosure: I received a gift bag for attending. All opinions are 100% my own. Thank you MomTrends for a fun evening!
