Growing up I loved playing with dolls. I always had a collection. I passed them down to my nieces as I got older but I still have one Madame Alexander Snow White doll that I have kept intact in its original box. Since having a son gone are my doll playing days. There are so many to choose from nowadays that it does make me miss playing. The latest craze is the American Girl dolls.
The dolls portray eight to eleven year old girls of various ethnicity. Each doll comes complete with a book told from the story of the doll. Originally the stories were set in different periods of history but have since been expanded to characters set in contemporary times as well. Several films have been made based on stories on the girls. The newest film is Grace Stirs Up Success.
Grace is excited for the summer so she can start a business with her friends, but things take an unexpected turn when her mom announces a trip to Paris. There, Grace must learn to get along with her French cousin, Sylvie, and she finds unexpected inspiration for her business. Then, Grace finds out her grandparents bakery, that inspired her to start a business, is closing. Can she and her friends find a way to save it?
